About

Who is Gaia?

Gaia (pronounced guy-uh) is a Greek goddess. Gaia is also known as Mother Earth or Great Goddess. She is very nurturing, protective, and full of wisdom. We all have aspects of “Gaia” within us. As we journey through life, we seek knowledge and wisdom in how to nurture and heal our bodies, give birth, and protect our children. Gaia reminds us that as we nourish ourselves with healing touch, information, and community we blossom and grow.

Our Mission

At Gaia Birth and Bodywork, we want to serve our community by providing healing touch, education, and nonjudgmental support to women as they walk their personal journey through conception, birth, and motherhood. We strive to facilitate a space for women to reconnect to their bodies, explore their inner wisdom, and to share their unique feminine experience.

Our Studio

We started Gaia Birth and Bodywork in 2008 because we wanted to serve women during their childbearing years and continue providing therapeutic massage to the community.

Our studio is located inside Blooma off Charlotte Avenue near the Sylvan Park neighborhood of Nashville. We serve the greater Nashville area, including the surrounding neighborhoods: Belmont, 12 South, Hillsboro Village, Green Hills, Belle Meade, Sylvan Park, Brentwood, West End, and The Gulch. Our business is continuously evolving, as we expand and explore more ways to support women and families during their transition to parenthood. We are glad that you’ve joined us!

Please join us and share us with your family and friends on Facebook, Twitter, or by subscribing to our RSS Blog Feed and receive exciting news and be the first to hear about our special offers.
